STLC Kids Midweek is a program for children in Grades 1-5. Children participate in music learning, Bible study, games, crafts, and activities, and learn about the use of the voice and musical instruments as tools for worship that express the heart of God.
STLC Kids Midweek meets each Wednesday throughout the academic year, 5:45-7:30 pm in the Music Room (upper level, Room 220) and Room 100 (lower level).
Opportunities for participation include:
- 5:45-6:10 pm - Choristers is a children’s choir that includes training on proper use of the voice (breathing, articulation, and presentation). This group sings regularly for the 10:00 am Contemporary Worship. Choristers is led by Jason Horner, Director of Music Ministries, assisted on piano by Judy Oleson.
- 6:10-6:30 pm - Resonate is an instrumental music ensemble that uses children’s chimes, handbells, Boomwhackers, and other pitched and non-pitched percussion instruments to foster the development of rhythmic skills, physical coordination, and listening skills. This group performs regularly for the 10:00 am Contemporary Worship and will be featured during special programs and services throughout the year. Students do not need prior experience reading music or ringing bells. Resonate is led by Jason Horner, Director of Music Ministries.
- 6:30-7:30 pm - Bible Study, including games, crafts, and prayer are led by Anna Howard, Children's Ministry Director.
Christmas Program: Each December, STLC Kids Midweek presents a unique, creative, and fun children's Christmas Program. Children who sign up for the Christmas Program must commit to attending all rehearsals as well as the Christmas Program.
- Rehearsals: Each Wednesday, October 14-December 9, 5:45-7:30 pm, Room 100. (No rehearsal on November 25.)
- Dress Rehearsal: Saturday, December 5, 3:00-5:00 pm, Community Life Center.
- Christmas Program: Saturday, December 12, 5:00 pm, Community Life Center and Livestream

Suggested donation: $45.00 per student for activity supplies and music for children's choir and chime & bell choirs. Donate via:

- Check or cash in an envelope and place in an offering box or the church office. Please include your name and designate Kids Midweek. Envelopes are available at the offering boxes.
